Advanced Tutor Pathway

As a tutor with us, we know that you will do all you can to fulfil your potential, deliver impactful tutoring and enjoy your role.

We also know that you will want to go above and beyond, and that’s where the Advanced Tutor Pathway (ATP) comes in and allows us to recognise and reward those who go above and beyond.

It goes without saying, that providing the highest quality tuition is an essential prerequisite to be eligible for the ATP.

The process starts when one of the former teachers on our Quality Team gives you a grade of Outstanding in a Lesson Observation as part of our Quality Checks. We then consider some other key criteria:

  • We will check whether you have delivered 30+ hours of tuition;
  • We will look for evidence you have engaged with our learning and development opportunities content (both live sessions and tutorials) to demonstrate that you are committed to becoming the best tutor you can be. To become an Advanced tutor, you need to have completed at least four tutorials and/or live events and;
  • We will ask for a reference from your Partnership Coordinator(s) to ensure you are meeting the high standards of reliability, communication, and engagement that we expect from our Advanced Tutors;
  • If you pass all the elements, we’ll be delighted to welcome you as an Advanced Tutor! Congratulations!
