Online tuition
Most of the tuition Tutor Trust delivers is in person with groups of up to 4 pupils. Sometimes, schools ask us to deliver tuition online. This tuition is usually 1:1. We deliver our online tuition at Tutor Trust through a system called Vedamo. You will need to complete a separate 'Online tutoring training course' to be eligible to tutor on these assignments. When tutoring online, you must still follow the same safeguarding rules and routines as you would when tutoring in person. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Professional dress and appearance
- Having your phone on silent and out of sight
- A suitable setting, i.e. there shouldn’t be anything of a personal or inappropriate nature in the background; it should be free from interruption; and should not be observed by other members of your household.
- Tutors must not record the lesson or take screenshots
You must read our Remote Tuition Safeguarding Guidance before delivering any online tuition. For online tuition for post-16 learners, you also need to adhere to the college's safeguarding policy regarding online learning - your Programme Coordinator will make this available to you at the Introductory Meeting.
