Online tuition
Whilst most of our tuition takes place face-to-face, some does take place online. When tutoring online, you must still follow the same safeguarding rules and routines as you would when tutoring in-person.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Professional dress and appearance
- Having your phone on silent and out of sight
- A suitable setting, i.e. there shouldn’t be anything of a personal or inappropriate nature in the background; it should be free from interruption; and should not be observed by other members of your household.
- Tutors must not record the lesson or take screenshots
You must read our Remote Tuition Safeguarding Guidance before delivering any online tuition. For online tuition for post-16 learners, you also need to adhere to the college's safeguarding policy regarding online learning - your Programme Coordinator will make this available to you at the Introductory Meeting.

Reminder
Please be aware that all online tutoring sessions are recorded, and you must inform students of this as well. For safeguarding purposes, cameras for both you (the tutor) and the students should be on.
