Submitting attendance registers
For every tuition assignment you take on, you will be expected to register pupils’ attendance and give feedback about every session you deliver within 48 hours of the session taking place. You can find your registers on the Tutor:HUB, our online tutor portal, for every session you deliver, even if you are providing one-off cover for another tutor.
You must use your register to record which pupils were present in the session. Remember to also mark yourself as present!
Contact your Programme Coordinator if:
- You are asked to deliver additional hours of tutoring by the school/college which haven’t been agreed
- Your session is cancelled in advance (e.g. if the school/college has cancelled it due to mock exams) so they can remove the register
- There are any changes to pupil groupings, including new pupils or if a pupil is withdrawn from the tuition programme
- You are unable to view or complete your registers
Remember
Submitting feedback
Linked to registering pupils’ attendance is feedback. You are expected to submit feedback after every session. This is because it is important to communicate information about pupils’ progress to your Coordinator and the school/college.
Feedback is visible to the school/college which is why you are given support during training to ensure it is appropriate in tone and content.
It is vital for us that you complete the feedback portion of your register in detail as we use registers to evaluate the quality and impact of the work our tutors carry out.
